ANDY STAPLES RELEASES HIS 12-TEAM 2025 COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYOFF PREDICTION

The College Football Playoff is officially expanding to 12 teams for the 2024 season, which means we're in store for a ton of entertainment and chaos.  

With the season still a few months away, Andy Staples has revealed his early projected bracket for the 12-team format. As of right now, he has Ohio State claiming the No. 1 seed.   

Staples also has Georgia, Florida State and Kansas State earning first-round byes for the opening round of the CFP. 

In the opening round of the playoffs, Staples has No. 5 Alabama squaring off against No. 12 Boise State, No. 6 Oregon meeting No. 11 Tennessee, No. 7 Texas battling No. 10 Ole Miss, and No. 8 Michigan going up against No. 9 Notre Dame.

Last week, the CFP unveiled its full schedule for the 12-team format. The first round will begin on Dec. 20 with a game at 8 p.m. ET. The other three games will take plac on Dec. 21. 

The quarterfinals, meanwhile, will take place on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1. That'll lead us right into the semifinals, which will run from Jan. 9-10. 

As for next season's national championship game, that'll take place on Jan. 20.
