Mauricio Pochettino has revealed he still keeps a very close eye on his former club Tottenham.
Pochettino managed Spurs for five-and-a-half years between 2014 and 2019 and led them to the Champions League final in his last year at the club.
The Argentine was sacked just five months after losing the Champions League final to Liverpool, and has since coached their London rivals Chelsea before being appointed USA manager last September.
But his fondness for Tottenham has not gone away, and he has admitted that he still watches their games all the time.
Asked whether he tunes in to the Premier League despite his move over to the US, Pochettino told The Sun: 'I watch all the games that I can. And, of course, one of the teams that I always watch is Tottenham, for sure.'
Spurs regularly challenged at the business end of the Premier League table under Pochettino, finishing third in 2015-16 before taking second spot behind Chelsea the following season.
However, this season has been very different with Ange Postecoglou at the helm.
Tottenham find themselves down in 14th place, just 10 points above the relegation zone, after losing 13 of their 24 league games to date.
The north London outfit also exited the Carabao Cup and FA Cup last week to pile the pressure on Postecoglou.
But Pochettino has backed the Australian to come out the other side and turn Tottenham's fortunes around.
'He's a great coach. Great club, great fans. It's impossible to say anything but good things about everyone there,' Pochettino said about Postecoglou and Spurs.
Reflecting on Postecoglou's struggles, Pochettino added: 'That is football, that is life. Sometimes ups, sometimes downs. That is what happens.
'We are colleagues, we are coaches. Always we need to be focused on ourselves, and every single coach in the world has their ideas and the capacity to change things.'
