‘IT WILL BE TOUGH’ – CRISTIANO RONALDO REVEALS PLANS TO RETIRE ‘SOON’

Ireland face off against Portugal later this month, and one name that everyone will be out to see is Cristiano Ronaldo.

Despite being 40 now, Ronaldo is still leading the line for the reigning Nations League champions while also scoring freely in the Saudi Pro League with Al-Nassr.

While he mightn’t be playing at the top level of club football, it’s still hard not to be impressed with Cristiano Ronaldo’s output for both club and country at an age when most players are retired.

With the condition he’s in, playing in a less intensive league and still being able to score goals, it’s hard to see when one of the GOATs will retire.

However, speaking with Piers Morgan on the presenter’s show Uncensored, Ronaldo hinted that retirement may be around the corner for him.

‘Soon. But I think I will be prepared. It will be tough, of course. Will be difficult, yes. Probably I will cry, yes … It will be very, very difficult, but I’ve prepared my future since 25, 26, 27 years old. So I think I will be capable to support that pressure.

‘I have other passions. I’m going to have more time for me, have more time for my family, to raise my kids … I want to be more a family person, more present. Also, to have my own hobbies. I like to see UFC, the fights. I like padel.’

As well as recently getting engaged to longtime girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has branched out into the business world in recent years, with the CR7 brand along with a string of hotels and gyms helping the former Manchester United star accrue a net worth of over $1billion.

‘I like and I want to learn more about my companies. I’ll never be a YouTuber, of course, but I want to be there. I’m going to spend more time on that to learn.

‘I think I’m going to do funny things and things I’m not used to doing before. Because I live football 24 hours, to do the right things and perform’

So it looks like November 13th’s trip to Dublin in the Aviva could be the last time fans in Dublin get to see Cristiano Ronaldo. If it wasn’t a hot ticket already, it looks even hotter now.
